Q: When are the classes available after I purchase?

A: The classes are immediately added to your account after purchase so you can begin right away!


Q: When can I take my classes?

A: The website is available 24/7/365 so you can take your classes at your convenience.  You can start and stop as often as you need to take care of life's little interruptions.  The class will always take you back to the spot where you left off.


Q: How do I know if these classes are approved in my state?

A: Our Childcare and Spanish sections have a drop down menu that allows you to select your state of employment.  Once you select, the symbol in the class box will indicate whether or not it is approved. You can also visit our State Resources page to learn more about child care licensing in your state.


Q. Are your classes approved for Washington State STARS / MERIT credit?

A: Yes, our classes are approved for STARS / MERIT credit. Please see our Child Care Training Classes page for list of classes offered in Washington State.


Q. What accreditations has SafeGard Classes Online earned?

A. Q: Do you have any packages for meeting state credentials or requirements?

A: Yes, we have many classes and packages for these!  Check out the State Requirements and State Credentials categories to see our options.


Q. Do you offer any Credential certificates?

A. Yes, we offer the intial and renewal Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential curriculum to meet the contining education requirement for the CDA.  The CDA package is available for the Infant/Toddler, Preschool, and Family Child Care settings. These packages also meet the requirements for some staff credential programs as well.


Q. Can I interact with other people taking the class?

A. Yes, we have a free community forum to promote discussion on specific class topics or just to chat with peers about child care issues.  Classes will have links to the forum within the page or you can access the forum in the footer on every page.


Q: I had an account on your old site.  Is my account still active?

A: Yes, all the information is still available from our previous site. You can use your same login to access your account and all you classes will still be there!  If you don't remember your password, you can request to reset or contact us and we can reset for you.


Q: What type of payment options do you offer?

A: You can pay online with any credit card or call us to process payment over the phone.  You can also do a mail-in order with a check if you prefer.  Please call us at 1.800.346.4915 for payment options.


Q: Do you offer any discounts?

A: Yes, we have many promotions available so check our website regularly to see what's new!  We also offer discounts for Head Start professionals to earn their CDA Credentials.  


Q: Can I take my class on my phone?

A: Yes, our site is mobile friendly so you can take your classes on your desktop, laptop, tablet or phone.  Take your classes anytime, anywhere!


Q: What if I don't know which classes to take?

A: Check out our Knowledge Collections!  These are a group of classes bundled together in our most popular and relevant topics. A great way to get started!


Q: When do I get my certificate of completion?

A: Your certificate is available in your account immediately after you pass the quiz.  You can print or save your certificate any time you need.


Q: How long does the class stay in my account?

A: The class is always available in your account so you can review for free at any time.


Q: How can I get a copy of my transcript?

A: You can print a transcript right from your account in the My Classes tab.


Q: Can I get a receipt for my purchase?

A: Yes, you will be sent a receipt by email immediately after purchasing.  You can also print a receipt from the My Orders tab on your Dashboard.


Q: Do you have any classes for new parents?

Q: Do your classes offer Continuing Education Units (CEUs)?

A: Yes, we are an IACET Accredited Provider and you'll receive continuing education units based on the class hours.  Click on "Learn More" within any of the class boxes to see the CEUs.


Q. Do you have any free classes?

A. Yes, we have free classes you can take for credit or if you just want to take us for a test drive before buying!


Q. What is the format for your classes?

A. Our classes are all in html format, meaning they look just like a regular webpage that we're all used to seeing.  Many also make use of audio or video links as well.
