Q: When are the classes available after I purchase?
A: The classes are immediately added to your account after purchase so you can begin right away!
Q. What is the format for your classes?
A. Our classes are all in html format, meaning they look just like a regular webpage that we're all used to seeing. Many also make use of audio or video links as well.
Q: When can I take my classes?
A: The website is available 24/7/365 so you can take your classes at your convenience. You can start and stop as often as you need to take care of life's little interruptions. The class will always take you back to the spot where you left off.
Q: Is your website secure?
A: Yes, our site is secure (https) and our payment system is PCI-compliant so you can feel comfortable that your transaction will be protected. Our database also does not store any credit card information.
Q. What kind of device do I need to take your online course?
To take our online course, you will need a device with an internet connection. This could be anything like laptop or desktop computers as well as tablets and smartphones.
Q. How do I get started?
A. You don't need an account to get started. You can browse our classes and find the classes you're like to order. Click on "Buy" to add to your cart. Click on Complete Your Purchase when you're ready to check out. You'll be prompted to create an account upon checkout.
You can also create an account before you get started. It's a very quick and easy process.
Q: How do I access my classes?
A: Once you purchase, your classes will be added to your account immediately. Go to the My Classes tab in your account dashboard and click Take under each class to begin. If you purchased a multi-class package, please read our guide on How to Select and Access Your Classes.
Q: What should I do if I am having technical difficulties accessing the online course?
If you're having trouble accessing the online course, please contact us via email, our live chat (in the bottom right or your screen), or call us at 253.277.1939. We'll be able to assist you with logging into the online course and troubleshooting any other technical issues you may be experiencing.
Q: Can I use any browser (i.e., Internet Explorer, Chrome, etc) with this site?
A: Yes, you should be able to access our site and your classes with any browser but occasionally some have difficulties with certain tasks (on many websites, not just sgclassesonline.com). If you are getting an error message such as "We offer a lot of classes, but not that one," please try another browser and it will likely eliminate this error.
Q: Are your classes available in other languages?

A. We strive to ensure our classes provide a high-quality experience with every class. Q: Do your classes offer Continuing Education Units (CEUs)?
A: Yes, we are an IACET Accredited Provider and you'll receive continuing education units based on the class hours.
Q: What should I do to earn CEUs?
All you need to do is complete every assignment after the end of each chapter, pass our final quiz with an 80% or higher score before receiving your CEU credit.
Q: When do I get my certificate of completion?
A: Your certificate is available in your account immediately after you pass the quiz. You can print or save your certificate any time you need.
Q: How can I get a copy of my transcript?
A: You can print a transcript right from your account in the My Classes tab.
Q: How do I know if these classes are approved in my state?
A: Our Childcare and Spanish sections have a drop down menu that allows you to select your state of employment. Once you select, the symbol in the class box will indicate whether or not it is approved. You can also visit our State Resources page to learn more about child care licensing in your state.
Q. Are your classes approved for Washington State STARS / MERIT credit?

Q. Do you offer any Credential certificates?
A. Yes, we offer the intial and renewal Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential curriculum to meet the contining education requirement for the CDA. The CDA package is available for the Infant/Toddler, Preschool, and Family Child Care settings. These packages also meet the requirements for some staff credential programs as well.
Q. Can I interact with other people taking the class?
A. Yes, we have a free community forum to promote discussion on specific class topics or just to chat with peers about child care issues. Classes will have links to the forum within the page or you can access the forum in the footer on every page.
Q: I had an account on your old site. Is my account still active?
A: Yes, all the information is still available from our previous site. You can use your same login to access your account and all you classes will still be there! If you don't remember your password, you can request to reset or contact us and we can reset for you.
Q: Are there any audio options for your classes?
A: You can convert text to audio with many apps, such as Read Aloud. These apps will read the text of each page to you.
Q: What type of payment options do you offer?
A: You can pay online with any credit card or call us to process payment over the phone. You can also do a mail-in order with a check if you prefer. For group orders, we can invoice from your purchase order as well. Please call us at 1.800.346.4915 for payment options.

Q: How long does the class stay in my account?
A: The class is always available in your account so you can review for free at any time.
Q: Do you report completed classes to my state registry?
A: Yes, please just be sure to enter your ID# in the State Registry ID box on the My Profile tab. For example, providers in WA State need to enter their STARS ID #.
Q: How can I see all the classes I've purchased over the years?
A: All the classes you've taken will be in the My Classes tab by year. You can click on each year to see the classes from that year. For a complete list, click View Transcript at the top of that tab for a list of all classes you've completed.
Q: Can I get a receipt for my purchase?
A: Yes, you will be sent a receipt by email immediately after purchasing. You can also print a receipt from the My Orders tab on your Dashboard.
