NEW CHILD CARE BASICS COURSE

All new child care providers must take the required Child Care Basics course within 6 months of starting employment (this will change to 3 months in 2019).  The Washington State Department of Early Learning (DEL) is now the Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF).  The DCYF issued a new 2018 Child Care Basics course to include the new WACs and updated content.

The best value for this course is our All New 2018 Child Care Basics course, accessible on any device, including tablets and phones.   It is also available in a discounted bundle with the required health and safety Bloodborne Pathogens and HIV/AIDS courses.

Once you have completed the Basics course, you'll need to complete 10 hours of STARS training each year to meet your licensing requirements.  We've packaged all your first year's requirements into one value-priced All STAR Special package.   This includes the initial Basics course plus a 10 hours of STARS class to build on your learning!  Since our classes do not expire, you can take them at any time, at your convenience.

Welcome to child care in Washington State!  We're here to help so don't hesitate to contact us with any questions!
