Fun with Frogs!

From Kermit to Michigan J. Frog, who doesn't love a frog?  ;)  Since summer is right around the corner, hear are some fun facts about frogs and activities your kids will jump for!

 

FROG BASICS

Frogs are amphibians – which means they can live on land or water

Frogs lay eggs that live in the water

When they hatch, they turn into tadpoles

Then they grow into frogs!

Frogs are cold blooded, which means their bodies are the same temperature as the air or water around them. When they are cold, they like to warm up in the sun.

And when they get too warm, they like to jump in the water and go for a swim.

FROG CRAFT IDEAS

Frog craft 1 

Supplies Needed: paper, paint, googly eyes, construction paper

Make a handprint with the paint.  Turn the print upside down and add backgroun for the eyes.  Attach the googly eyes and a strip of curly paper for the tongue.

Have fun!

 

 

Frog craft 2

Supplies Needed: paper plates, paint, glue, construction paper

Make a circle of paint; cut out 3 different size circles of construction paper for the eyes.  Cut half-circles for the mouth.

Accessorize!
