DEL / DCYF STARS / MERIT APPROVED TRAINING CLASSES

Licensed child care providers in Washington State need to complete 10 hours of continuing education each year as part of their licensing requirements.  These courses need to be approved for STARS credit by the Department of Early Learning (DEL), now the Department of Children, Youth and Family (DCYF).  

SafeGard Classes Online has nearly 200 STARS-approved courses to meet this requirement.  You can browse our classes on our child care training page or go the Merit training site to verify our approval and see a listing of all qualifed courses. 

We have 7 professional trainers approved by Merit to offer STARS courses for providers in Washington State.  Our classes cover all the core competency areas requirement by the DCYF.
