This class identifies signs that can be used with preschoolers. It discusses how learning sign language enhances the multiple intelligences, describes when to teach them these signs, and discusses the many benefits of using sign language with preschoolers.

Goal: to learn the basics and benefits of signing with preschoolers
After completing the class, the student will be able to:
• Describe two ways of incorporating sign language into a preschool curriculum
• Identify how Howard Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences are compatible with the use of American Sign Language (ASL) in the preschool classroom
• List two benefits of using sign language with preschool age children
