Goal: to understand, assess, and reduce risk of SIDS, including emergency response

Does not meet the Washington DEL Safe Sleep requirement.

This class can no longer be used for STARS credit in Washington State. The DEL has a Safe Sleep course for licensed providers to meet their health and safety requirement.

  • better understand the risk factors for SIDS
  • take knowledgeable steps to reduce the risk for SIDS
  • respond to an emergency involving a possible SIDS incident
