Introduction

There are three great “outward journeys” of middle childhood. They are:

  1. Physical
  2. Social/emotional 
  3. Cognitive

We will explore them in two parts: 5 to 8 year old children & 9 to 12 year old children.

Learning Outcomes

Participant will be able to:

  • Identify physical development issues for school age children
  • Understand emotional development issues for school age children
  • Discuss cognitive accomplishments of school age children
  • Understand learning styles and their importance for teaching school age children
  • Identify conflict resolution methods
